Irrigation Polyethylene Pipes

The 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, and 32 mm diameter pipes produced by Khuzestan Hose and Pipe Co. come in 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m rolls made of top quality materials according to the relevant standards. These are mainly used as secondary pipes in regular and micro irrigation systems, farm water transmission systems, and irrigation systems for gardens and greenhouses. They can be fitted with various types of caps and drippers on the market and are 100% compatible with standard fittings. 16 mm PE pipes are used in regular irrigation and water transmission systems and various micro, pressurized, overhead, center pivot, linear, and roll line irrigation systems.
Given the water crisis and population growth in Iran, PE irrigation pipes are the best option for optimal water usage in agriculture.
Agriculture is the largest consumer of water, with the highest rates of water loss attributed to this sector. According to the statistics, inappropriate irrigation is the primary source of water loss. Being inadequate from many aspects, the traditional irrigation methods did not use water correctly. Khuzestan Hose and Pipe Co. has taken advantage of advanced technologies to establish its position in the field of agricultural irrigation systems by addressing the emerging demand for irrigation PE pipes from modern irrigation methods.
The 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, and 32 mm irrigation PE pipes are most commonly used as secondary irrigation pipes, for transmission of water from the main pipe to ground level in farms, and for garden and greenhouse irrigation. These pipes are fully compliant with the 14427‑2 standard and compatible with all relevant equipment. They can also be fitted with various types of caps and drippers. They are used in regular irrigation and water transmission systems and various micro, pressurized, overhead, center pivot, linear, and roll line irrigation systems. These pipes are easily attached by threaded joints.

16 mm Micro Irrigation PE Pipes

These 16 mm external diameter pipes produced in 200–400 m rolls are most widely used in regular and micro‑irrigation projects. Thanks to their flexibility, they can be bent into rings for easier transportation. They are also impact and UV resistant and allow faster installation. 16 mm PE pipes are 100% compatible with all relevant fittings.

Applications of 16 mm PE pipes include:

  • Farms
  • Micro‑irrigation systems
  • Greenhouse irrigation
  • Garden irrigation
  • Regular irrigation
  • Water supply systems
  • Pressurized irrigation
  • Overhead irrigation systems
  • Center pivot irrigation systems
  • Linear and roll line irrigation systems

Properties of Micro Irrigation PE Pipes

The high quality micro‑irrigation pipes produced by Khuzestan Hose and Pipe Co. are highly resistant against IR and UV radiations and do not change color in sunlight. These flexible pipes are not likely to deform out of shape, break, fracture, or crack and are highly degradation resistant. They do not corrode when exposed to chemical fertilizers, acids and bases such as nitrates, and allow for a smooth frictionless flow. No cloggage occurs due to sludge or sediment buildup, thanks to the smooth internal surface of the pipes.

Advantages of Using 16 mm PE Pipes in Micro Irrigation Systems

  • About 90% rise in irrigation efficiency
  • Increased crop growth and enhanced system performance
  • Optimal and more efficient water use
  • Less damage resulting from salt water
  • Lower labor costs
  • Facilitated farming activities
  • Weed control
  • Easier fertilizer procurement
  • Prevention of weed growth

Types of Micro Irrigation Systems

In a micro irrigation, water is distributed through a pipe system and ultimately delivered to the plant through an emitter or dripper. Water can trickle or flow out at a low rate. Various types of micro irrigation include:

  • Drip irrigation
  • Subsurface irrigation
  • Sprinkler irrigation
  • Spray irrigation
